Advises on life and health insurance for a fee rather than selling it for a commission. Georgia asks it for no course at all: five years in the business, a paper and a $5,000 bond. Thirty-nine states here license a public adjuster and Georgia is one of the few that also licenses the advice.

Arranges the sale of a life policy for its owner. Georgia does not license it: it registers a life agent who has already held that license for a year, at $55 on a form filed through the same portal as everything else.

Five years as a health agent removes the paper entirely, which makes it the only Georgia license where experience is both the qualification and the exemption.
