Privacy policy

Nothing is sold here. There are no accounts to make and no logins to keep, and every course is bought on the provider's own site rather than this one. That makes the list of what we hold about you very short, and the whole of it is below.

If you sign up for email updates

We keep the address you type, the first name if you give one, and which page you signed up from. It is used to write to you when a state changes what it asks for or a course price moves. It is not sold, not rented, and not handed to a course provider. Ask for the row to go and it goes.

When you click through to a course provider

An outbound click is noted: the provider, the destination, which course row it was, and the time. Your network address is not recorded, nothing that identifies you is recorded, and nothing follows you onto the provider's site. It exists so we can tell which comparisons people actually use.

Outbound links carry campaign parameters marking the visit as arriving from here. From the moment you land on the provider's site, their privacy policy governs and this one stops.

Analytics, only if you say yes

Google Analytics does not load until you accept it in the banner. Decline it, or ignore it entirely, and no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is written. Your answer is kept in your own browser's local storage so the banner stops asking, and that record never leaves your device.

Accept, and Analytics counts page visits and a handful of interactions such as clicking through to a course. Clearing this site's data in your browser resets the choice and brings the banner back.

Hosting

Netlify serves the site and keeps the operational logs any web host keeps. There are no ad networks here, no embedded trackers, no social widgets and no session recording of any kind.

Changes

Start collecting something new and this page changes in the same commit, moving the date at the top. The date is there precisely so you can check whether it moved.
