Adjusts crop claims under the federal crop insurance program. The only Maine license with a way in that is not Maine's: a federal certification stands in place of the state paper.

Adjusts property and casualty claims of every kind except crop and workers' compensation, for an insurer, for an independent adjusting firm, or for the insured. Maine folds the public adjuster into this one license and regulates the insured-paid work inside it.

Adjusts workers' compensation claims governed by Title 39 or 39-A. Its own authority since 2018, and every property and casualty adjuster licensed on the day it started was handed it.
