Which of these 6?
They are not variations of one license. Which you want changes what you have to study and what you may sell.
- Car Rental No course No course sold
Held by the rental or leasing company rather than by the person at the counter. One license covers every location the company operates, and its price depends on how many locations there are, which is the only Oklahoma license whose fee moves with the size of the business.
- Credit No course No course sold
Limited line credit insurance in Oklahoma. Nothing stands between an applicant and this license but the application: the Commissioner made the finding 36 O.S. 1435.10(A)(1) asks for once and for the whole class of limited lines producers, and the examination vendor gives no credit paper.
- Motor Service Club No course No course sold
Sells motor club memberships, which Oklahoma regulates as insurance even though most of what they promise is a tow truck. The person selling holds this limited line; the club itself holds a certificate of authority and puts up $50,000 in cash or a $100,000 bond before it may sell anything.
- Prepaid Legal Liability Insurance No course No course sold
Sells the promise that somebody else will pay for a lawyer. Oklahoma runs it as a limited line of the producer license, examined by nobody and taught by nobody, and the whole of what the state asks is that the applicant be a fit person who has paid the fee.
- Self-Service Storage No course No course sold
Lets the storage facility sell cover on what its tenants put in the unit. The license belongs to the owner of the facility, and the statute limits the cover to loss or damage on the premises or in transit to and from it.
- Travel No course No course sold
Sells travel insurance in Oklahoma as a limited line of the producer license. The Insurance Code names it in one word and adds no scheme of its own, which is unusual: most states that license travel write a chapter about the retailer as well.
