Which of these 3?
They are not variations of one license. Which you want changes what you have to study and what you may sell.
- Credit No course No course sold
Limited line credit insurance, sold alongside a loan and held as a line of authority on the producer license. No course and no paper, and the statute says so in one sentence about limited lines producers generally.
- Portable Electronics License No course No course sold
Held by the shop rather than the person: it lets a seller of phones and laptops offer cover on them at every one of its Connecticut locations, and its staff need no producer license. $600 to apply and $450 to renew, on a license issued only to business entities.
- Producer: Travel (P.A. 187 - Limited Lines) No course No course sold
Sells travel insurance and nothing else, and keeps a register of the travel agencies selling it on the licensee's behalf. At $750 to apply and $650 to renew it is the dearest producer license Connecticut issues, and it takes neither a course nor a paper.
