Which of these 6?
They are not variations of one license. Which you want changes what you have to study and what you may sell.
- Casualty No course from $79.95
Sells casualty insurance in Montana. No pre-licensing course is required. A casualty producer who was already selling prepaid legal insurance on April 26, 2013 needs no separate examination for that line either.
- Crop Adjuster No course No course sold
Adjusts crop losses in Montana on a paper of its own. It is the same statutory license as the multi-line adjuster and the shortest of the three adjuster examinations at one hour.
- Property and Casualty Consultant No course No course sold
The general insurance half of Montana's consultant license, covering everything from property and casualty to surety, marine and title. It is a separate paper and a separate license from the life and disability half, and no Montanan may hold both a consultant license and a producer license.
- Property No course from $79.95
Sells property insurance in Montana, and the statute says in terms that for licensing purposes this line includes marine insurance rather than leaving marine a line of its own the way Delaware does. No pre-licensing course is required.
- Surety Bail Bond 16 hrs No course sold
Bail bonds in Montana, which the statute lists as its own kind of insurance immediately after surety rather than folding the two together. Since 2023 it is the one Montana license that asks an applicant for a course, sixteen hours of bail enforcement training the commissioner approves, and the only one where a peace officer's training will stand in for it.
- Surety No course No course sold
Surety in Montana, a kind of insurance in its own right here and separate from the bail bond line beside it. No pre-licensing course is required.
