The Tennessee Self-Service Storage Insurance license
Self-Service Storage Insurance
Lets the owner of a storage facility sell cover on what occupants keep in it. Tennessee issues it as a limited lines business entity producer license, so the applicant is the company, and the counter staff sell under it.

A completed and signed Self-Service Storage Insurance application filed with the Agent Licensing Section by mail, with the fee, which is $100 for ten or fewer Tennessee locations and $1,000 for eleven or more.
The requirement began on 2013-07-01. The Department's wording is unusually explicit that no test stands in the way: "An owner who complies with this part shall be entitled to a limited lines license, without examination, authorizing the owner to sell or offer coverage under a policy of self-storage insurance."One license covers every employee and authorized representative at every location. It expires biennially on 1 March, and the renewal is $100 for ten or fewer locations and $500 for eleven or more, which is the portable electronics vendor's fee ladder to the dollar.

Tennessee says in as many words that this license issues without examination, and it sets no course. No national seller prices a product for it.
