    • A completed and signed Portable Electronics Vendor application filed with the Agent Licensing Section by mail, with the fee, which is $100 for ten or fewer Tennessee locations and $1,000 for eleven or more.

The requirement began on 2012-01-01. The Department's own sentence is what makes this the business's license rather than the salesperson's: "A limited lines license issued to a vendor authorizes any employee or authorized representative of the vendor to sell or offer coverage under a policy of portable electronics insurance to a customer at each location at which the vendor engages in portable electronics transactions."There is no examination and no course. The license expires biennially on 1 March and the renewal is $100 for ten or fewer locations and $500 for eleven or more, which is half the initial fee at the larger size and the same at the smaller one.

Tennessee sets no examination and no course for the portable electronics vendor. No national seller prices a product for it.
