One of the four standings the Commissioner may issue on

    • The surviving spouse or court-appointed personal representative of a producer who has died or become mentally or physically disabled; a member or employee of a licensed business entity on the death or disability of an individual named in its application or license; the designee of a producer entering active service in the Armed Forces; or any other circumstance in which the Commissioner deems the public interest will best be served.

and a sponsor, where the Commissioner asks for one

    • The Commissioner may require the temporary licensee to have a suitable sponsor who is a licensed producer or an insurer and who assumes responsibility for all acts of the temporary licensee, and may limit the authority of the license in any way deemed necessary to protect insureds and the public.

36 O.S. 1435.12. The Commissioner may issue it "for a period not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days without requiring an examination", and subsection E then says no license issued under subsection A "shall be effective for more than six (6) months", renewable once for good cause. Three limits are worth knowing before applying. The license cannot outlive the business: "A temporary license may not continue after the owner or the personal representative disposes of the business."The fee paid for it is not credited against the permanent license. And 1435.12(E) closes the door it looks like it opens, because no temporary license may be issued for any line to an applicant who has failed the required examination, and 1435.12(B) terminates it automatically if the holder then fails. On the death or disability case, 1435.12(C) also bars the temporary licensee from representing any insurer the deceased or disabled producer did not.

The Oklahoma products sellers do carry are all for a producer line or for the adjuster; Aceable sells nothing in Oklahoma at all. Oklahoma asks for no course here and its examination vendor publishes no paper for this license, so there is nothing to sell.
