The Oklahoma Navigator Entity license

Navigator Entity

The organization that employs or supervises navigators and takes legal responsibility for what they do. It registers rather than licenses, and what the statute asks of it is a set of policies and an acceptance of liability rather than anything an individual could study for.

    Policies and procedures

    • Established policies and procedures ensuring that acts which may be performed only by a registered navigator or a licensed producer are performed by people who are appropriately registered or licensed.

    and accepting the liability

    • An acknowledgement and acceptance of legal responsibility for the acts of the individual navigators the entity employs, supervises or is affiliated with, performed in Oklahoma and within the scope of the navigator's apparent authority.

    and the application and fee

    • An application on the Commissioner's form declaring under penalty of refusal, suspension or revocation that its statements are true, and a registration fee the Commissioner prescribes, capped at $50.

36 O.S. 1415.3(C). There is no education requirement on the entity, no examination and no bond, and the registration expires a year after issuance like the individual's. The Department takes it on its own form, the Navigator Entity and CDO Entity Application, and publishes an entity lookup separate from the individual one.

No national seller sells a course for this license. The Oklahoma products sellers do carry are all for a producer line or for the adjuster; Aceable sells nothing in Oklahoma at all. The entity registration carries no education requirement at all, so there is nothing to prepare for.
