    Reputation and record

    • A good business and personal reputation, and no conviction of or plea of guilty, guilty but mentally ill or nolo contendere to forgery, embezzlement, obtaining money under false pretenses, larceny, extortion, conspiracy to defraud or any crime involving moral turpitude

    and fingerprints

    • For a Nevada resident, a complete set of fingerprints taken at the applicant's own expense by a law enforcement agency or other entity acceptable to the Commissioner, with written permission to submit them to the Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History and on to the Federal Bureau of Investigation

Chapter 689 of NRS licenses the agent who solicits prepaid burial contracts for a seller, and the qualification is three things and no course: a written application on the Commissioner's forms, a good business and personal reputation, and no conviction of or plea to forgery, embezzlement, obtaining money under false pretenses, larceny, extortion, conspiracy to defraud or any crime involving moral turpitude. The application carries the applicant's identity, address, social security number, personal background and work history, the child support statement, and the fee at NRS 680B.010 plus the fees at 680C.110. A resident applicant arranges fingerprints at their own expense and either files the card with written permission for the Commissioner to forward them, or files written verification that a law enforcement agency has forwarded them already. A conviction for any of the listed crimes is by itself a sufficient ground for the Commissioner to refuse, suspend or revoke. Nothing in the chapter sets an hour count or an examination for the agent.
