Eligibility to declare Nevada its home state; a designated natural person, separately licensed as a managing general agent in their own name, responsible for the entity's compliance with Nevada's insurance laws and regulations; and no act that is a ground for refusal, suspension or revocation under NRS 683A.451
NRS 683A.090(1) makes the license a precondition of acting as a managing general agent for the business of a Nevada insurer, whether or not the agent is located in the state, and 683A.090(2) puts an administrative fine of up to $1,000 per violation on acting without one. 683A.140 licenses the firm or corporation and sets what a business entity must satisfy: home state eligibility, a designated natural person separately licensed as a managing general agent in their own name and answerable for the entity's compliance, and a clean record against the grounds in 683A.451. 683A.140(3) is why there are two licenses rather than one, and 683A.140(2) makes a resident firm with several Nevada offices a single licensee that takes a copy of its license for each location. There is no course and no hour count in any of it.
