One license per machine, issued to a producer already licensed, for selling personal travel accident policies from a machine at an airport or similar place. It is an addition to a producer license rather than a way into the business, and it dies with the producer license it hangs from.

    The license the machine license hangs from

    • a Nevada producer of insurance license, held by the person who will supervise the machine

    and what the Commissioner must find about the machine

    • That the policy gives reasonable coverage and benefits and is suitable for sale by machine and that the proposed location would be of material convenience to the public; that the machine type is reasonably suitable; that reasonable means inform buyers of coverages and restrictions; that reasonable means refund money put into a defective machine; and that the cost of maintaining the machine at that location is reasonable in amount

    NRS 683A.370(1) allows a licensed producer of insurance or an insurer to solicit for and issue personal travel accident policies through mechanical vending machines supervised by the producer and placed at airports and similar places of convenience to the traveling public, subject to five findings by the Commissioner set out at (a) to (e). 683A.370(2) is the license itself: the Commissioner issues the producer a special vending machine license for each machine, on the producer's own application. It continues annually and expires, is suspended or is revoked coincidentally with the producer's own license, and the Commissioner revokes any machine's license once the qualifications no longer exist. Proof of a subsisting license must be displayed on or about each machine. There is no course and no examination for the machine license; the qualification is the producer license underneath it and the Commissioner's findings about the machine.
