Every way to qualify
More than one route leads to this license, and which one you take changes what you study and whether you sit the exam. There is no pre-licensing course among them: this license is qualified for by experience or sitting the examination.
-
Route 1 Pass the Commissioner's escrow examination
State exam required
-
The name and business address of the title agent who will supervise the escrow officer, submitted with the application
NRS 692A.103(1)(b)(2) is the alternative to the year of experience: a written examination concerning escrows as the Commissioner prescribes. No course is attached to it and the statute sets no hours. A third way exists and is a waiver rather than a route: 692A.103(3) lets the Commissioner waive the competency requirement entirely for an applicant who holds, or held within the year before applying, a license in good standing issued under NRS 645A.020, which is the escrow agency license of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions.

and the title agent who supervises
-
The name and business address of the title agent who will supervise the escrow officer, submitted with the application
NRS 692A.103(1)(b)(1). The applicant demonstrates competency in matters relating to escrows by holding at least one year of recent escrow experience of a sufficient nature to fulfill the responsibilities of an escrow officer, and 692A.103(2) then obliges the Commissioner to issue to anybody who satisfies subsection 1. 692A.103(1)(c) requires the name and business address of the supervising title agent, which is why this route carries a person who is not the applicant. The license runs three years under 692A.103(4).
