No state exam for this license

    • A financial statement reviewed by an independent certified public accountant, carrying the money the applicant expects to collect from or disburse to Nevada residents next year, financial information for the 90 days before filing, and two years of income statements and balance sheets under GAAP certified by an officer; the documents that created the business association and the documents regulating its internal affairs; an organizational chart naming everybody who controls the administrator and each affiliate; and a notarized affidavit from each person who manages or controls it, including every director, officer, partner and shareholder holding at least ten per cent of the voting stock

NRS 683A.08522 is the closed list of what an application for a certificate of registration as an administrator must include, and every item on it is a document rather than a qualification the applicant studies for. The financial statement at subsection 1 must be reviewed by an independent certified public accountant and carry four things: the money expected to move to and from Nevada residents in the next calendar year, financial information for the ninety days before filing, two years of income statements and balance sheets prepared under generally accepted accounting principles and reviewed by that accountant, and an officer's certification. Subsections 2 and 3 take the creating documents and the internal-affairs documents, 4 the trade name registration under NRS 600.350 where one is used, 5 an organizational chart of everybody controlling the administrator and each affiliate, and 6 a notarized affidavit from each person who manages or controls it, down to any shareholder holding ten per cent or more of the voting stock. NRS 683A.0855 lets the Commissioner waive requirements for the certificate and 683A.0857 attaches a bond. Nowhere in the arrangement is a course, an hour count or an examination.
