The Nebraska Prepaid Legal license
Prepaid Legal
Sells legal expense insurance, which pays a member's lawyer rather than a claim. Nebraska names it as a producer line and asks no examination for it, which puts it with credit and surplus lines rather than with the papers.

The uniform application under 44-4053, with the director finding eighteen years of age, no ground for denial under 44-4059, and the fee paid. PSI's candidate information bulletin lists Prepaid Legal among the producer lines and prints "No exam required" against it, so nothing is sat and nothing is studied.
The line has no paper and no course. Legal expense insurance itself is the Legal Expense Insurance Act at Neb. Rev. Stat. 44-3301 to 44-3320, which regulates the insurer and the policy and creates no producer license of its own; the line of authority comes from 44-4054(1)(i), "any other line of insurance permitted under Nebraska laws, rules, or regulations", and the Department's examination vendor is where the list of those other lines is actually published. 44-3304 is what makes the cover insurance in the first place, authorizing the business only through an insurer the director has authorized.

No national seller sells a course for this license. Aceable does not sell Nebraska at all. There is nothing to prepare for. PSI's bulletin prints "No exam required" against Prepaid Legal, no course is required, and no seller offers a product for a line with neither.
