The Missouri Title license
Title
Searches and insures title to Missouri real property. Its continuing education is half a producer's at eight hours, and it is one of two title licenses the state issues: this one is the individual, and the agency has to name a qualified principal who sits a separate paper.

This license has no pre-licensing course route.

Every way to qualify
More than one route leads to this license, and which one you take changes what you study and whether you sit the exam. There is no pre-licensing course among them: this license is qualified for by sitting the examination or a license held in another state.

Route 1 Pass the examination
State exam required
-
Pearson's Title Insurance paper, exam series 58, one hour at $25.
Section 375.015.1, RSMo is the closed list of what the director must find before approving a resident producer application: at least eighteen years old, no act that is a ground for denial under 375.141, the hundred dollar fee paid, and the examinations passed for the lines applied for. No course is in it, which is where Missouri's zero is read, and Pearson's Missouri candidate handbook prints "None" in the education column beside every producer line. A Missouri exam score is valid for one year and a candidate waits one day before rebooking a failed paper.

Route 2 Hold the line in your home state
Exempt from the state exam
-
a resident producer license carrying the Title line of authority, current and in good standing in the applicant's home state, where that state licenses Missouri residents on the same basis
Section 375.017.1, RSMo. A nonresident is licensed on the home state license plus the fee and the application, with no Missouri examination. 375.017.5 carries limited lines across the same way, granting the same scope of authority the home state granted. A Letter of Certification no older than six months is attached unless the home state is on the NAIC producer database participating state report.

No national seller sells a course for this license. Aceable does not sell Missouri at all. The Title paper is real, exam series 58, and Missouri asks eight hours of continuing education on it. Nobody sells preparation for it here.
