The Missouri Organizational Credit Entity license

Organizational Credit Entity

One entity license that lets a bank's or lender's own staff sell credit insurance without each of them holding a producer license. Missouri conditions it on how those employees are paid: commission-first compensation takes them outside it.

    The entity license

    • An organizational credit entity license, which authorizes the licensee's employees who are at least eighteen, acting on behalf of and supervised by the licensee, to act as insurance producers for credit life, credit accident and health, credit property, credit mortgage life, credit mortgage disability, credit involuntary unemployment insurance, and any other form of credit or credit-related insurance the director approves.

and how the employees are paid

    • The employees' compensation must not be primarily paid on a commission basis. That condition is on the face of the Department's own description of the license and it is what separates an organizational credit entity's staff from producers who need their own licenses.

The Department's Other Licensees page is where this license is described and where its forms live. The underlying line is credit-limited line credit insurance at section 375.018.1(7), RSMo, and chapter 385 sections 385.010 to 385.080 are Missouri's credit life and accident insurance law. There is no examination and no pre-licensing course: Pearson's candidate handbook prints "No exam required" against Credit.

No national seller sells a course for this license. Aceable does not sell Missouri at all. There is no examination and no course: Pearson prints "No exam required" against Credit, and this is the entity form of it.
