Effective 1 October 2016. The Department's own definition: "a corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, or other entity that is licensed under this act and operating in Mississippi that uses a digital network to connect transportation network company drivers who provide prearranged rides."The fee schedule prices it at $5,000.00, level with the portable electronics vendor and above every other Mississippi license. No examination and no pre-licensing course. It is on the entity licensing page rather than under Additional Licensing Types, which is where the Department keeps the peer to peer car sharing permit that regulates the neighboring business.
