Certification by a Mississippi licensed independent adjuster. The applicant holds nothing themselves; what stands behind the license is somebody else's.
No examination and no pre-licensing hours. These licenses are issued only after a catastrophe or emergency "which arises out of a disaster, Act of God, riot, civil commotion, conflagration or other similar occurrence". The Department's adjuster page carries a live example from January 2017, a Governor's proclamation for Forrest, Lamar, Perry, Marion and Jones counties after tornadoes, and adds the limit that matters: "If the individual already holds an MS independent adjuster license, an emergency adjuster license is not required." "This license is not eligible for renewal and will expire no more than 180 days from issuance."The Department's fee schedule prices every individual adjuster license at $100.00 and lists the emergency and trainee ones under that heading. The instruction sheets for the emergency and trainee licenses say $50.00 and are dated 01/08. The schedule is the current document and is what is recorded on this page.

Mississippi asks for no examination and no course for an emergency adjuster license; the qualification is another adjuster's certification and a declared catastrophe. No national seller prices a product for it.
