The Indiana Reinsurance Intermediary Broker license
Reinsurance Intermediary Broker
Places a ceding insurer's reinsurance without the power to bind it. Indiana licenses the broker and the manager separately and asks the broker for the shorter of the two packets.

Every way to qualify
-
Route 1 Apply electronically through Sircon
No state exam for this license
-
An electronic application at Sircon's Indiana site, with the broker checklist and a uniform consent to service of process attached. The Department no longer emails the license: once the application is approved the applicant prints it from Sircon.
IC 27-6-9 and 760 IAC 1-51 are the authority the Department cites. There is no examination and no course in what the Department asks for, and the difference from the manager license beside it is entirely in the paperwork: the manager checklist and the biographical affidavit are the two items the Department marks as required for managers only, so the broker files two documents where the manager files four.

No national seller sells a course for this license, and nothing could. Indiana grants it on an electronic application with a checklist and a consent to service of process, with no examination and no course anywhere in what the Department asks for.
