    • The applicant certifies that all employees have received basic training as to the types of insurance products specified in O.C.G.A. 33-23-12(c)(5). The instructor and the prelicensing training program must be approved by the Department before the application is made, on a course outline and an instructor resume. In lieu of creating a specific course the applicant may require its employees to complete the property and casualty prelicensing course from an approved entity.

Rule 120-2-3-.45(3) is the examination in four words and 120-2-3-.09(1)(f) names the rule again from the other side. The license covers the principal location or home office only, needs no insurer's sponsorship and no certificate of authority, and has run biennially since 2012-07-01. The renewal carries a second approval loop that the portable electronics license does not: 120-2-3-.45(6)(a) makes the company certify at renewal that each employee has had two hours of continuing education about the products sold, and (6)(b) requires the Department to have approved the instructor and the continuing education courses before the renewal is filed, with the same option of sending employees to an approved property and casualty continuing education provider instead.

No national seller sells a course for this license. The training belongs to the company and its counter staff rather than to the license applicant, and where Georgia names a ready-made substitute it is the ordinary property and casualty prelicensing course, which is on the Property and Casualty page.
