Study manuals are required for all attendees of a pre-licensing course under F.A.C. rule 69B-227.260.

ChFC Chartered Financial Consultant, from The American College of Financial Services , completed within 4 years

FLMI Fellow, Life Management Institute, from Life Management Institute , completed within 4 years
and health component

40 hours of health pre-licensing course, approved by the Department , completed within 4 years

CEBC Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania , completed within 4 years
- or
ChHC Chartered Healthcare Consultant, from The American College of Financial Services , completed within 4 years
- or
HIA Health Insurance Associate, from America's Health Insurance Plans , completed within 4 years
- or
REBC Registered Employee Benefits Consultant, from The American College of Financial Services , completed within 4 years
- or
RHU Registered Health Underwriter, from The American College of Financial Services , completed within 4 years
Both halves must have been completed within the last four years. This is the route the schema exists for: two requirements, each satisfied by a course or by any of several designations.

Route 4 Transfer an equivalent license within 90 days of moving here
Exempt from the state exam

90 days Became a Florida resident, held a valid resident license with the equivalent line of authority for at least one continuous year beforehand, and applied within 90 days of becoming a resident.

Route 5 Come from a reciprocal state more than 90 days after moving here
State exam required

1 year Valid resident license with the equivalent line of authority in a reciprocal state, held within the four years before applying
Exempt from the pre-licensing course, but the Florida examination is still required. This is the route that proves the exam flag belongs to the route: it waives the course and keeps the exam, which is the opposite of the degree route above.
