Every way to qualify

  1. Route 1 Be certified by a licensed adjuster or appraiser

No state exam for this license

    • A certification filed with the Commissioner by a holder of an adjuster or property damage appraiser license, assuming responsibility for the applicant’s training and for every action the applicant takes under the license, and certifying the applicant as a full-time employee under that holder’s supervision

18 Del. C. 1702(4) defines an apprentice as a licensee qualified in all respects as an adjuster or appraiser except as to experience, education and training, which is the whole shape of the license: it substitutes somebody else's judgment for the qualification the applicant has not got yet. 1706(c) is the filing, and it is a duty on the sponsor rather than on the applicant, who assumes responsibility for the applicant's training and for all actions taken under the license. The Department adds that the sponsor must certify the applicant as a full-time employee under supervision, and the license is valid for one year. No course, no examination and a $75 fee where every other individual license here is $125.

No national seller sells a course for this license. There is no examination and no course: the license is granted on a licensed adjuster's or appraiser's certification that they will train the applicant and answer for what the applicant does.
