Training for the authorized endorsees, whose required elements the Department sets out in form LIC SSA 3, an Outline of Required Training Elements, rather than in hours or subjects fixed by rule
California Insurance Code section 1758.75: "A licensed Self-Service Storage facility or it's franchisee may act as a Self-Service Storage agent authorized to offer or sell hazard insurance coverage to renters for the loss of, or damage to, tangible personal property in storage or in transit during the rental period. This coverage may be offered only with, and incidental to, self-service-storage rental agreements."The three forms the Department names are the license in practice: LIC SSA 1 for authorized endorsees, LIC SSA 2 for the notice of appointment and LIC SSA 3 for the outline of required training elements. $323 to file and $323 to renew.

The training belongs to the licensee to give its own people, with no hours and no syllabus set by the Department beyond an outline of required elements, and California gives no examination for this license. No school can sell it.
