A letter of endorsement from a registered Wyoming funeral home, submitted by an individual applicant with the initial application
The Department draws the boundary in its own first sentence and it is a boundary about who holds the money: "This license type is for use by funeral home employees that are selling pre-paid funeral contracts paid directly to the funeral home. If the contract is backed by an insurance company, the employee selling the policy will need to have a Wyoming Producer License with the Life line of authority."The Wyoming Pre-Need Funeral Insurance Exam is sat through Pearson VUE first, and then an individual applicant needs a letter of endorsement from a registered Wyoming funeral home, which is the only sponsorship requirement among the six limited lines. $20 for an individual and no continuing education. Six other states here license a preneed funeral line: Kentucky, Kansas, Colorado, North Carolina, Iowa and Nebraska, which splits the trade across three licenses of its own. The Department publishes all six limited lines on one page with their fees and their differences side by side, which makes the differences legible. Fingerprinting is required of resident producers only, on the initial application, at $39. Licenses renew every two years on the last day of the licensee's birth month, an appointment from an insurer is needed to transact with that insurer, and nonresident home state licenses are reciprocated. The firm fee is $100 for every one of the six.

No national seller sells a course for this license, though Wyoming examines for it. Kentucky is the only other state here with a preneed funeral line and it has no product either.
