The Department's scope note comes before the steps and settles who needs it: "Individuals that already hold property and casualty lines of authority do not need to apply for the crop limited lines license in Wyoming. This license type is for agents and agencies that ONLY deal with crop insurance and nothing else."The Wyoming Crop Insurance Exam is sat through Pearson VUE before applying, and no course is required for it. $20 for an individual, which is a fifth of what the credit limited line costs in the same state. It is also the only one of the six that carries continuing education, 24 hours every license period with at least three in ethics, where credit, portable electronics, pre-need funeral, rental car and travel require none at all. The Department publishes all six limited lines on one page with their fees and their differences side by side, which makes the differences legible. Fingerprinting is required of resident producers only, on the initial application, at $39. Licenses renew every two years on the last day of the licensee's birth month, an appointment from an insurer is needed to transact with that insurer, and nonresident home state licenses are reciprocated. The firm fee is $100 for every one of the six.
