Twelve months of somebody else's agency, issued to the personal representative of an intermediary who has died or become disabled, or to the person an intermediary designates on entering the armed forces. It cannot be renewed and it cannot outlive the sale of the business.

    One of the three standings

    • The personal representative of a deceased or mentally disabled intermediary, or a person designated by an intermediary who is otherwise disabled or has entered active duty in the United States armed forces. The purpose the statute names is time: for a more favorable sale of the goodwill of the business, for the recovery or return of the intermediary, or for the orderly training and licensing of new personnel.

    and a sponsor and any limits the commissioner imposes

    • The commissioner may require the temporary licensee to have a suitable sponsor who is a licensed intermediary or an insurer and who assumes full legal responsibility for all acts and omissions of the temporary licensee, may impose special bonding requirements, and may limit the authority of the license in any way deemed necessary to protect insureds and the public.

    s. 628.09. Twelve months at most, and 628.09(4) refuses any extension beyond the initial period and ends the license when the owner or the personal representative disposes of the business. 628.09(3) is the sentence that keeps this from being a way around the paper: "The commissioner may administer an examination as a prerequisite to the issuance of a temporary license."It is a power rather than a requirement, so the route carries no examination, and 628.09(6) then makes the holder "a fully qualified intermediary for all purposes other than the process of licensing, the duration of the license and the limits imposed". The Office takes this one on paper rather than through NIPR, which nothing else in Wisconsin's list does.

No national seller sells a course for this license. The Wisconsin products sellers do carry are all for a major producer line or for the adjuster paper; Aceable sells nothing in Wisconsin at all. A temporary intermediary sits no paper unless the commissioner decides to set one, so there is nothing to prepare for.
