The Virginia Public Adjuster license
Public Adjuster
Adjusts a Virginia first-party property claim for the insured. Virginia's definition of what that is has a boundary written into it, and third-party and bodily injury claims are outside it.

The Bureau's own lines of authority page says "Exam Required" against this qualification and asks for no course. Virginia's only pre-licensing course is the Title qualification's sixteen hours, and the page states that one in its own words on the same screen, which is what makes this a sourced zero rather than an unread field. The Bureau also draws the boundary of the work itself: public adjusting is investigating, negotiating, adjusting or advising an insured on first party claims under contracts insuring their real or personal property, and it does not include liability claims for personal injury or property damage, other third-party claims, or uninsured and underinsured bodily injury liability claims. A licensed agent who only advises an insured on first party claims under contracts that agent sold is not public adjusting. The application processing fee is $15. This is Virginia's only adjuster-family license: it licenses no independent or company adjuster at all.

The Virginia Bureau of Insurance requires no pre-licensing course for this license, so there is nothing here to price. Anyone selling you one is selling exam practice.
