Every way to qualify

No state exam for this license

    • Being a selling agent of a motor vehicle rental company that provides primarily private passenger motor vehicles to the public under rental agreements of less than six months

The Bureau's own lines of authority page says "No exam required" against this license and asks for no course either. Virginia's only pre-licensing course is the Title qualification's sixteen hours. The license is restricted to five coverages sold solely in connection with and incidental to the rental contract: personal accident insurance for accidental death or injury during the rental period; liability cover in excess of the rental company's own obligations; personal effects insurance for the renter's and other occupants' property in the vehicle; roadside assistance and emergency sickness protection programs; and other travel-related or vehicle-related cover offered with the rental. A motor vehicle rental contract enroller is expressly not one of these agents.

The Virginia Bureau of Insurance requires no pre-licensing course for this license, so there is nothing here to price.
