A principal place of business in Vermont, which is what qualifies a business entity as a resident and is an election of residency that voids the license if the entity claims residency anywhere else

8 V.S.A. section 4800 lists the business entity limited lines producer separately from the limited lines producer, which is why it is a separate license and not the same one held by a company. 4800(2)(A)(ii) is the difference a reader will notice: $150 for the initial license and the biennial renewal against $30 for the individual, on top of the $30 that accompanies every application. Everything else follows the individual's arrangement. 4800(3) obliges the Commissioner to issue to any duly qualified resident or nonresident, 4800(3)(A) makes a Vermont principal place of business the test of residency and an election that voids the license if residency is claimed elsewhere, and 4800(3)(B)(i) lets a nonresident qualify only on a like license held in the United States or a province of Canada. There is no prelicensing course, no hour count and no examination in any of it.
