    • A pre-licensing course in training programs given by the insurance agency and by the insurance company

    TDI asks for training and names no hours, so none is recorded: a figure here would be invented. Both programs come from the agency and the insurer, and the holder of this license may then train the employees who actually offer the cover to customers, which is what the license is for. TDI states in terms that no examination and no fingerprint background check are needed. A signed Appointment certification (Form FIN700) goes with the application.

A course is required and nobody sells one

There is nothing for a school to sell. TDI asks for training programs given by the insurance agency and the insurance company that appoint the licensee, so the training arrives with the appointment.
