Every way to qualify

  1. Route 1 File the three reinsurance intermediary forms

No state exam for this license

    • Acting as a reinsurance intermediary broker, set out on the Application for Reinsurance Intermediary License (Form FIN510) and the Reinsurance Intermediary Biographical Affidavit (Form FIN511), with an Agent for Service of Process (Form FIN512)

TDI states that no examination is needed. This license is the plain half of the pair: the reinsurance manager license beside it asks for more than three years of insurance or reinsurance experience and this one asks for none. The $500 fee is the same for both and is ten times the ordinary Texas application fee.

The Texas Department of Insurance requires no pre-licensing course for this license, so there is nothing here to price.
