Every way to qualify

  1. Route 1 Apply to the Company Licensing Division for the manager license

No state exam for this license

    The application

    • A completed application on the Department's corporation or partnership form or its individual form, filed with the Company Licensing Division under 40 P.S. 321.1 et seq., with the documentation the Department's reinsurance intermediary manager qualification packet lists

and nothing else, and no fee

    • No examination, no course, no experience bar and no fee: the Department's company licensing table prices this license at nothing and runs it for two years

The Department's manager packet is worded exactly as the broker's: "In order to act as a reinsurance intermediary manager, you must first obtain a license."Two packets, two application forms, two renewal forms and two search tools, which is how a two-license state looks from the outside. Everywhere else on this site that issues one license for both roles says so in a single granting sentence, and Pennsylvania's law, 40 P.S. 321.1 et seq., does not.
