The Ohio Reciprocal license
Reciprocal
A limited line for a nonresident whose home state licenses something Ohio has no category for. The authority comes from the other state's license and Ohio's statute says in as many words that recognizing it creates no new line of authority here.

a limited line credit insurance agent license or any other type of limited lines insurance agent license issued by the applicant's home state
Ohio Revised Code 3905.072 obliges the superintendent to issue a nonresident limited lines insurance agent license "with the same scope of authority as the person has under the license issued by the person's home state", and then adds a sentence that is worth reading twice: "However, the recognition of a limited lines authority under this section shall not create any new line of authority."The section defines limited lines insurance for its own purposes as any authority less than the major lines in 3905.06(B)(1) to (6). The Department's fee chart is where the name comes from: it prices a limited line called Reciprocal at $10 to apply and $25 to renew, and no Department page describes it. O.A.C. 3901-5-09(F)(2)(i) is the rule's version, listed among the eight lines a limited lines license can be issued for as "any limited lines insurance agent license as required by section 3905.072". New Jersey issues the same instrument under the name Special Nonresident Limited Lines.

The qualification is a license another state has already granted, so there is nothing an Ohio school can sell against it. No national seller prices a product for it.
