    • A criminal records check requested under Ohio Revised Code 3905.051, which every resident individual applicant for a limited lines license must ask for.

O.A.C. 3901-5-09(F)(2)(c) defines the line and the definition is wide: protection against damage to crops from unfavorable weather, fire, lightning, flood, hail, insect infestation, disease "or other yield-reducing conditions or perils", whether the cover comes from the private market or is subsidised by the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, and including multi-peril crop insurance. Ohio Revised Code 3905.06(B) enumerates twelve lines of authority and crop is not one of them; it exists under division (B)(13), "any other line of authority designated by the superintendent". O.A.C. 3901-5-09(F)(3) is the sentence that covers every Ohio limited line: "No pre-licensing education, licensing examination or continuing education is required for a limited lines license."The Department says it too, on its own limited lines page. A company appointment is not needed to apply and is needed before anything is sold.

Ohio requires no course and no examination for any limited line, and says so in its own rule. No national seller prices a product for this one.
