A criminal records check requested under Ohio Revised Code 3905.051, which every resident individual applicant for a limited lines license must ask for.
Ohio Revised Code 3905.06(B)(7) names credit as a line of authority and defines it as limited line credit insurance, which 3905.01(I) then defines by listing what it covers. O.A.C. 3901-5-09(F)(2)(a) is the rule's version. The statute also carries a training provision of its own that reaches nobody applying here: 3905.201 lets an insurer run a program of instruction for the people who sell limited line credit insurance in a bank or a car dealership without licensing them, which is the alternative to this license rather than a step towards it. O.A.C. 3901-5-09(F)(3) is the sentence that covers every Ohio limited line: "No pre-licensing education, licensing examination or continuing education is required for a limited lines license."The Department says it too, on its own limited lines page. A company appointment is not needed to apply and is needed before anything is sold.

Ohio requires no course and no examination for any limited line, and says so in its own rule. No national seller prices a product for this one.
