The North Dakota Self-Service Storage Insurance license
Self-Service Storage Insurance
Lets the owner of a storage facility sell cover on what occupants keep in it, and on that property in transit to and from the facility. Like the portable electronics license it is the business's rather than the salesperson's, and the counter staff sell under it. It is the only limited lines license in the producer chapters that the Department's own Other Licenses page does not name: the page lists eleven and this is a twelfth, found in the Century Code's own chapter index at 26.1-26.9.

Route 1 Apply as an owner
No state exam for this license
Supervising entity
-
A supervising entity designated by the applicant and named to the commissioner, being a licensed insurer or insurance producer appointed by an insurer to supervise the storage insurance program, responsible for the owner's compliance with North Dakota insurance law.
and acknowledgment
-
An acknowledgment filed with the commissioner that the owner's counter sales employees and authorized representatives act on the owner's behalf and that the owner answers for what they say about the cover, stating that the commissioner may take any administrative action in title 26.1.
N.D.C.C. 26.1-26.9-02(1) requires the owner to obtain and hold a limited lines license, and 26.1-26.9-05 sets out the application. No examination and no course appear anywhere in the chapter. 26.1-26.9-04(1)(c) puts a training duty on the insurer or the supervising entity rather than on the applicant: they develop the program, it must be delivered to every employee who sells, and the materials are kept by the owner for the commissioner to inspect. The fee is "a fee as prescribed by the commissioner" at 26.1-26.9-05(3) and the Department's fee schedule does not print one, so no figure is recorded here. An owner who only displays the insurer's brochures needs no license at all.

There is no examination and no course, and no fee is published for the license. No national seller prices a North Dakota product for it.
