    No pre-licensing course. S.L. 2025-45, s. 1(a) rewrote G.S. 58-33-30(d) with effect from 2025-10-01 so that the Commissioner may not require any hours of pre-licensing education of anybody. The crosswalk chart says who it is for and it is not an agency: "Generally for employees of banks or loan companies to place coverage for physical damage only on autos when the borrower fails to provide the coverage required by the terms of the loan."The coverages are auto collision and comprehensive and nothing else. The examination is required.

The license exists for a bank or loan company's own staff rather than for an insurance office, and no national seller builds a product for that reader.
