An excess line broker's license in the applicant's home state, where that state licenses New York residents on the same basis. The reciprocity condition is dropped for liability insurance placed for a purchasing group or its members.
Insurance Law 2105(a). There is no separate examination and no course: the qualifying broker license carries both, and PSI publishes no New York excess line paper. The license expires when the qualifying broker license does. New York examines nobody for this license and asks for no course. No national seller prices an excess line product.
