    • An application for a license as an independent review organization, priced by the Insurance Code's fee schedule and administered under the superintendent's rules for external review.

NMSA 59A-6-1(BB) prices it at $250 to apply and $100 for the biennial continuation. The row is new: the 2016 amendment to the fee schedule, effective 1 July 2017, is recorded in the statute's own annotations as having "introduced fees for independent review organizations and continuing education providers", so before that date New Mexico charged for neither. The Insurance Code calls this a license rather than an approval, which is not what every state does with the same work: Tennessee approves an external review organization and Nebraska and South Dakota carry independent review organizations of their own. There is no examination and no course.

New Mexico sets no examination and no course for this license, which is granted to an organization rather than to a person. No national seller prices a product for it.
