Full-time employment by a vendor of merchandise or other property, or by a financial institution making consumer loans on terms where credit life, credit disability, credit property or credit involuntary unemployment insurance is customarily required of or offered to the purchaser or borrower.
NMSA 59A-12-18(A). The license covers only credit life, credit disability, credit property and credit involuntary unemployment insurance, under a master, corporate, group or individual policy. The employment condition is the whole qualification and it is unusual in being about who the applicant works for rather than what the applicant knows. The 2016 amendment, effective 1 July 2017, renamed it from a limited agent's license to a limited insurance producer license and swapped credit health for credit disability. The 2013 amendment is worth knowing about for what it removed: it deleted the paragraph that had made travel a limited line here, and travel got an article of its own twelve years later.

New Mexico sets no examination and no course for this limited line. No national seller prices a product for it.
