The New Jersey Credit license

Limited line credit insurance in New Jersey. It is the only line of authority the Producer Licensing Act itself calls limited, and it sits in the same list as Life and Property rather than in the Department's separate limited lines list.

N.J.S.A. 17:22A-33(a)(6) names "Credit-limited line credit insurance" among the lines of authority a producer may qualify for, alongside Life, Accident and Health or Sickness, Property, Casualty, Variable and Personal Lines. The Department's own list of limited lines names it too, which is why this page treats it as a limited line and prices it as one. New Jersey's pre-licensing requirement is a closed list and this line is not on it. The Department's own answer names the lines that carry it: "All individuals applying for a resident insurance producer license requesting authority to transact Life, Health, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines, Title and Limited Line Bail Bonds who do not qualify for a waiver of prelicensing education must complete a prelicensing education course offered by an approved insurance education provider."Nothing else is on that list, and the hours table beside it prints a figure for those lines and for no others. The license is one of the eight limited lines the Department names, and a limited lines license costs $75 for two years against $150 for the major lines, with a $40 processing fee on a paper application and $20 on a renewal.

The New Jersey products sellers do carry are all for a major producer line or for the adjuster paper; Aceable sells nothing in New Jersey at all. New Jersey asks for no course on this line and gives no paper for it, so there is nothing to sell.
