Minn. Stat. 60H.03 is four short subdivisions and it asks for no examination, no course and no experience. Subdivisions 1 and 2 are the two directions: a managing general agent representing an insurer licensed here with respect to risks located here must be licensed here, and one representing an insurer domiciled here with respect to risks located elsewhere must be licensed here too, which may be a nonresident license. Subdivision 4 sends the term and the fee back to chapter 60K, so an MGA license costs and lasts exactly what a producer license does. This is a third answer to a question three states gave differently in one week: Oregon makes the managing general agent an indorsement on the producer license with no examination, Washington refuses to license one at all and appoints it instead, Idaho and Alabama license it separately and Alabama prices it per insurer represented. Minnesota licenses it separately and prices it as an ordinary producer license.

No national seller sells a course for this license, and nothing could: chapter 60H asks a managing general agent for no examination, no course and no experience, only for the license and whatever bond or errors and omissions cover the commissioner requires.
