    The policies, the appointment and the disclosures

    • Every portable electronics insurance policy filed with and approved by the Commissioner beforehand, an appointment with each authorized insurer the vendor intends to represent, and all required disclosures filed and approved.

    and a training program, and somebody named for compliance

    • A training program approved by the Commissioner for any employee or authorized representative who sells the cover, and the name and residential address of the person responsible for the vendor's compliance with Subtitle 7 of Title 10.

    Md. Code, Insurance 10-703(a) requires the license before the vendor or its people may sell, and (b) extends it to any salaried or hourly employee or authorized representative who is trained under 10-705 and supervised. 10-703(d) is the money: a vendor may bill and collect premiums and need not segregate them if the appointing insurer agrees in writing, the funds go on within 60 days and they are held in trust meanwhile. 10-702 is the scope, and it keeps out a service contract under the Commercial Law Article that does not cover disappearance or theft, a policy covering a warranty obligation, and an ordinary homeowner's, renter's or motor vehicle policy that happens to cover the same loss. Maryland's 2024 repeal of the program of study is scoped to applicants who sit an examination, and this line sits none, so the zero on the state page reaches it by a different road: there is no course here because the subtitle asks for none.

The Maryland products sellers do carry are all for a major producer line or for the adjuster paper; Aceable sells nothing in Maryland at all. Maryland asks for no course here and its examination vendor gives no paper for this license, so there is nothing to sell.
