One or more of the eight classes at 215 ILCS 5/500-100(a): travel insurance; industrial life insurance; industrial accident and health insurance; insurance issued by a company organized under the Farm Mutual Insurance Company Act of 1986; legal expense insurance; enrollment of recipients of public aid or medicare in a health maintenance organization; a limited health care plan issued under the Limited Health Service Organization Act; and credit life, credit accident and health and other credit insurance the Director approves or permits.

The application is submitted on the Director's form by a designee of the insurance company, health maintenance organization or limited health service organization appointing the limited insurance representative, and that company pays the fee. The license is perpetual while the appointing company pays $50 before 1 January each year, and it terminates immediately if the company stops paying or stops filing. Either the company or the licensee may end it.
215 ILCS 5/500-100(h) is the sentence that settles the course: "A limited lines producer issued a license pursuant to this Section is not subject to the requirements of Section 500-30." 500-30 is where the twenty hours and the 7.5 classroom hours live, so both go. The credit class carries the only training in the section and it is the insurer's to give rather than the applicant's to find: 500-100(a)(8) says "a credit insurance company must conduct a training program in which an applicant shall receive basic instruction about the credit insurance products that he or she will be selling". 500-100(g-5) lets a business entity hold the credit class on its own, provided the appointing insurer pays and the entity designates an individual who already holds the individual credit license, and then forbids that entity from holding itself or its employees out as licensed insurers, producers, agents or brokers.

No national seller sells a course for this license. There is nothing to prepare for: 500-100(h) removes the pre-licensing course, no class in the section is examined, and the only instruction anywhere near it is the training a credit insurance company gives its own applicants.
