The Connecticut Variable Life and Variable Annuity Products license
Variable Life and Variable Annuity Products
Cover written under variable life contracts and variable annuities, held as a line of authority on the producer license. Connecticut asks for nothing extra on this line: the statute takes the course and the paper off it by name.

There is nothing to qualify for. Neither a course nor an examination is required.

How to qualify
Connecticut asks neither a prelicensing course nor an examination for this license, and that was read at cga.ct.gov rather than left blank here: there is no route to show because there is nothing to qualify.
Conn. Gen. Stat. 38a-702d(a) ends with the whole of it: the examination tests the lines applied for "except that no additional course or examination shall be required for the line of variable life and variable annuity products". The examination vendor publishes no variable paper among the seventeen Connecticut examinations it gives, and the state register has no variable category. No national seller offers a Connecticut variable product. What the statute does not do is name a condition in place of the ones it removes, so nothing here says a life line or a securities registration has to be held first, and this file does not claim one.
