Section 10-4-1502(1), C.R.S. makes a vendor hold a limited lines producer license before it may sell or offer portable electronics insurance, and 10-4-1502(2) makes that one license cover every location at which the vendor does portable electronics business. Section 10-4-1507 asks for the ordinary producer application with one narrowing and one widening: instead of every officer, partner and director, only the employee or officer designated as responsible for compliance need be listed, but a vendor drawing more than half its revenue from these sales must give the home office, name, residence address and other details of every officer, director and ten per cent shareholder. It is the one line on the Division's list that is issued to businesses only: the resident licensing matrix carries a Portable Electronics row under Lines of Authority for Resident Agency and no such row under Lines of Authority for Resident Individual. No examination and no prelicensing course; what section 10-4-1504(1)(b) requires instead is that the insurer or its supervising entity develop and run a training program for the vendor's employees, covering the product and the disclosures owed under 10-4-1503, and 10-4-1504(1)(c) forbids anyone trained under it from holding themselves out as a full producer. Cited to the Colorado Revised Statutes 2026, which the Office of Legislative Legal Services publishes as one HTML file per title with no per-section address, so the section is named here rather than linked.

Nothing is sold for it and nothing could be. The license is issued to a vendor rather than to a person, it carries no examination and no prelicensing course, and the training in section 10-4-1504(1)(b), C.R.S. is written by the insurer or its supervising entity for that vendor's own staff.
