No national seller sells a course for this license, and nothing could. Minn. Stat. 60K.36, subd. 2 names four limited lines and takes the paper away from all of them at once: "A resident individual applying for a limited lines credit insurance, title insurance, travel insurance, or bail bonds license is not required to take a written examination."The course goes with it. Subdivision 4 sizes the program of studies at "20 hours per major line of authority", and a limited line is not a major line, so nothing in the section reaches these four. Minnesota is unusual in saying it in one sentence for four lines rather than license by license. The only training in the scheme falls on the licensee rather than on the applicant: Minn. Stat. 60K.383, subd. 2(6) makes the licensed business entity put each travel retailer's staff through a program of instruction the commissioner may review.
