Route 1 Apply as the facility’s owner or managing agent
No state exam for this license
-
Owning or being the managing agent of a self-service storage facility that offers or sells insurance covering loss or damage to stored personal property, in connection with and incidental to renting space at the facility
The Department's requirement list is three lines and no course is in it: be at least eighteen, prove lawful presence on Form L-152 under A.R.S. 41-1080 unless fingerprints already went in electronically, and apply on Form L-LTD through NIPR with a $120 fee. There is no examination. A business entity applies on the same form for the same fee and files Form L-193 for any assumed name. The boundary is in the definition rather than in a rule: the cover has to be on stored personal property and has to be sold in connection with and incidental to renting the space. Continuing education is not required.
